For Acne
(Pustular – without Scars)
Introduction
This condition occurs to about 5-10% of acne victims. It is marked by puffy, secreting lesions and may have associated scarring and pitting. It is made worse by makeup and frequent exfoliation (acid peels). Benzoyl peroxide is often used, along with antibiotics. See the REFERENCE TOPICS section to learn more.
Our approach to a satisfactory visible resolution will be to discontinue all current topical products and begin anew.
Note on Benzoyl Peroxide
If you have used benzoyl peroxide for longer than 30 days, it will be necessary to wean your skin from this very destructive chemical. Over the course of another 30 day period, reduce the frequency of application until you reach zero. It is likely you will experience random lesions that do not secrete for up to a year AFTER discontinuing the application of benzoyl peroxide.
REGIMEN
For visible relief of pustular acne (without scars).
MORNINGS
- Cleanse with the FACE & BODY BAR, rinse, pat dry
- Apply REVIVE and leave on
- If using makeup – find a powder form, not a liquid.
EVENINGS
- Cleanse with the FACE & BODY BAR, rinse
- Apply CLARIFYING DROPS (every other day) while skin is still wet, allow to absorb. If skin feels dry, reduce frequency of application.
- After five (5) minutes, apply REVIVE and smooth in
- Apply more REVIVE and rinse well, pat dry.
OPTIONAL – CALMING MIST
During the day, mist with CALMING MIST.
OPTIONAL – SULFUR CLEANSER
This is an excellent choice alone, or on alternating days, or just once a week.
ONCE WEEKLY OPTIONAL – TREATMENT MASK
TWICE PER MONTH OPTIONAL – 3% SALICYLIC CLEANSER
Use 3% SALICYLIC CLEANSER instead of FACE & BODY BAR during evening. Do not apply CLARIFYING DROPS for two days after using this cleanser.
AVOID: Moisturizers, sunscreens, toners, scrubs
